Communications Manager in GERALDTON, Western Australia

DrinkWise Australia is an independent, not-for-profit organisation committed to reshaping Australia’s drinking culture so that drinking to excess, or drinking too young, is considered undesirable.
As DrinkWise Australia’s Communications Manager you will advise the CEO on strategies to encourage and support cultural change towards alcohol consumption. You will develop and implement communication strategies and tactics to promote DrinkWise policies, write speeches, media releases, fact sheets and briefings, manage media relations and liaise with key stakeholders.
To succeed in this challenging role you will be an effective, proactive PR and communications professional, preferably with social marketing achievements in the health sector. You will have high-level strategic communication skills; good interpersonal, written and verbal skills; proven issues management ability; sound judgement under pressure; be happy to work in a small team; and be able to organise priorities and respond flexibly in a changing environment.
Qualifications in communications or public relations and membership of the Public Relations Institute of Australia, or eligibility for membership, will be highly regarded.
