Legal Counsel - Oil & Gas - 12 month contract in GERALDTON, Western Australia
Our client is a major international integrated energy company. Its Australasian subsidiary has assets, and exploration activities in the Timor Sea, Northern Territory, Western Australia and Timor-Leste. A vacancy has arisen for an oil and gas lawyer with 5-10 years PAE to join their legal team on a 12 month contract basis. You will provide legal support on the full range of our client s upstream oil and gas business activities as well as general operational matters. This will involve drafting and reviewing a wide range of complex contracts, ensuring legislative compliance, leading negotiations, resolving disputes, and, where appropriate, briefing external lawyers. You will liaise with a wide range of stakeholders including co-venturers, senior management, vendors and government agencies.
