Chief Geologist - International Projects, Perth based Exciting Australian mid tier exploration company Senior leadership role with international focus Highly cashed up company Our client is an exciting Australian based exploration and development company with a huge portfolio of diverse projects around Australia, West Africa, South America and Southern Europe. Cashed up and ready to pounce on the next investment opportunity, they are always looking to expand both their grassroots exploration projects as well as gaining interest in up and coming companies. Currently required is a Chief Geologist to manage an exciting portfolio of West African Iron Ore projects. Reporting to the General Manager you will responsible for managing the external preparation of resource and reserve estimates, providing planning and technical support to field programs, contributing to technical and feasibility studies, preparation of statutory reports and ASX announcements and working with peers on the evaluation of new investment opportunities. To be successful in this role, you will be a tertiary qualified Geologist that is highly experienced in managing projects at various levels; from grass roots exploration through to resource development. Ideally you will have managed projects in an Iron Ore or bulk materials environment, combined with African or other international exposure. You will have demonstrated experience in budget preparation and management, as well as previous experience in providing geological input for reviewing potential acquisition and growth opportunities. This is a Perth based position with some International travel required, particularly Africa.
