Electrical / Instrumentation Technician in GERALDTON, Western Australia

Our client, one of the world's largest producers of gold with operations in Ghana, Peru, South Africa and Australia. Their flagship operation in Western Australia is located within the Goldfields region. It has an annual amount produced of approx 420,000 ounces of gold processed through a 5 mpta CIP plant. They currently require the services of an experienced Electrical / Instrumentation Technician to join their Goldfields based operation. Reporting to the Electrical Coordinator your main purpose will be to provide quality and timely preventative maintenance and repairs of the processing facilities and other areas of the operation to ensure operational targets are met. You will also be required to carry out the requisition of parts and materials, processing of maintenance orders, recording of labour and effective utilize the current maintenance information management system (SAP). You will be required to have an Australian recognised Electrical / Instrumentation trade qualification, as well as the WA 'A' Class Electrical license. If you hold a HV Switching Ticket and experience with PLC programming with also be advantageous. Your exposure to both a SAG Mill, Heap Leach facility as well as an underground operation with a minimum of five years experience in a similar role will hold you in high regard for this challenging position. A safety focused and hands on approach, coupled with the ability to work effectively within a team are all considered essential attributes.
