A modern two bed cottage in the Illawarra Escarpment Sub-Tropical Rain forest, below the Wombarra Sculpture Garden. It's a very peaceful spot with birdsong and protection from the Summer heat.
There are excellent beaches nearby. If you're someone that likes peace and quiet, bushwalking, fishing, surfing, or just lying on the beach this place is perfect.
The bedroom has built in robes and a double bed. The tiled bathroom has a shower/bath, the modern kitchen with an electric stove/oven, and the living area has a cast iron pot belly stove. Plenty of dead wood timber available nearby. The wide veranda looks over the rain forest, with space for a garden and barbecue entertaining. A nearby chook shed has been variously used as a carpenter's workshop and an artist's studio. The neighbors are close enough for comfort and distant enough for privacy. You can walk to the beach and either Wombarra or Coledale railway stations. Wollongong or Sydney are easily reached by train or car. Sydney by car (via the new Sea View Bridge, or by train) is an hour and a quarter away, or Wollongong by train or car about a half hour. Wireless Internet access is available.
